WEAR PROTECTION

Wear protection made of 500 CR

Pneumatically conveying systems are often exposed to hardest conditions. Abrasive materials, which are carried in the transport air flow, lead to an extreme stress of the pressure line.

The lifetime of such loaded components can be substantially extended by wear-resistant coating in the endangered positions of the tubes and tube bends. The innovative Agenis Technik wear protection technology helps you to reduce costs, for example due to unscheduled operating interruptions.

Due to the constant development of our wear protection technology, the thickness of the wear-restraining layer could be increased up to 250%, without changing the wall thickness of the pressure lines and tube bends.

New development for longer lifetime:

The new development differs by a square cross section in stead of coated pipes. Therefore it is possible to use a highly resistant steel (Mn20Cr5) with a hardness of 500 HBW (according to EN ISO 6506-1). With the single layer material structure no welding ribs are existing. This leads to a smooth surface and reduces flow resistance and turbulences.

When using conventional binary material structures, as it results e.g. from surface welding, there is always a risk for chipping off and undermining of the coating. If that happens  the underlying standard pipe has no more protection against abrasive load.
This failure mechanism cannot occur with our new single layer material.

If, despite the more robust and thicker material, a damage will occur, it can be repaired in very short time without having to shut down the system

By the use of our single material structure, even in case of a repair, there can be no undermining at the joints. Due to our special welding engineering the welding rods of the edges and joints are just as resistable as the normal material.
